Leveraging Video SEO with audio.


Search engine marketing gurus worldwide are constantly seeking out new and advanced methods of dominating natural search results. We can now leverage our SEO and VSEO campaigns with audio extraction and submission.

Recently Google has designed a way to search audio on video content by specific subjects and keywords. Audio files and the spoken words on video will be indexed and rank according to a person’s selected keyword relevancy.


This new technology by Google is called GAudi. Google labs has made more common words easier to recognize with this speech recognition technology. GAudi works by sifting through and indexing audio and video content to make it searchable.


If you step back and look at the whole picture you should see what I’m getting at. Video content is submitted to multiple social bookmarking sites, social networking sites, blogs and now audio blogs and iTunes. With Google’s new technology this will give us marketers two ways to leverage with audio.

1. The first way would be to allow Google’s audio indexing to do its thing on its own and index the spoken words on our video content.

2. The second way would be to isolate, extract and submit audio files into audio blogs and iTunes.

Some of you may wonder how you can extract audio from your video files. With the right program this can be really easy. Most Video and or Audio Mac or PC applications that allow you to edit audio and video should allow you to isolate the audio track from the video in order to extract and submit your audio files to you target destinations.

Leveraging with audio will only help and improve the quality and performance of your optimized video network. This new technology will not only give us marketers the edge that we need, but will provide the world with more quality and relevant search results.

Why do SEO firms choose to NOT offer End to End Video SEO?




A lot of SEO companies shy away from offering end to end VIDEO SEO. Some SEO companies either don’t know much about Video SEO and or they do not have video producing capabilities. I have seen some respected SEO consultants react strangely towards Video SEO.

SEO professionals are typically not video producers. Producing high quality video takes knowledge and creativity. It’s a good idea to leave video producing to the professionals. The whole video camera in your office thing in my opinion is really lame. Not many people want to do business with someone who has a poorly made video. What does that say about the business?

Finding an SEO company that produces and optimizes video under the same roof is key! Why? CONTENT..... It is crucial that the producer maximizes relevant content so that the SEO specialist can tag that video multiple times to maximize search engine visibility. Close communication between your video producer and SEO specialist is a must.

One thing that annoys not only me but other industry experts is "Wannabe" video seo experts. Some companies are using pay-per click advertising for the keyword "video seo" that don’t offer it or don’t have an idea of what it actually is.

There is a significant difference between posting a video a couple times vs. applying real SEO strategy to your videos. Since I have been doing this for a long time, I am fully aware of what video seo is and who really understands it. Video SEO is the process of strategically posting multiple videos on multiple video sharing sites,video blogs, social networks and ITunes under multiple relative keywords.
Pay-Per Click is a form of Internet advertising that allows the advertiser to only pay for the amount a user clicks on their website. Prices for clicks vary based on keyword demand.


Yes, pay-per click can work wonders as only a temporary fix while you are working on your natural ranking to increase through on site and off site SEO.
I do not support the idea continually spending exorbitant amounts of money for clicks. Remember, they are clicks, not sales. Yes, I know some of those clicks convert, but a lot more can be done effectively with video SEO.

Video offers almost 10 times the performance of Pay-per click with some added perks. One of the main perks are the branding benefits. When people watch a video they can identify with your brand by watching and possibly agreeing with your messaging. Video allows you to visually stimulate emotions and opinions. Video offers an excellent lead generation perk. Your video should be produced properly following the 4 I’s – (Interrupt, Instruct, Invite and impress) and contain a clear call to action. This will create traffic to your sites contact page, allowing visitors to request someone to contact them.

Video is a great way to increase website traffic. You will notice a significant steady growth of website traffic if you have a continuous flow of optimized video being published. People that find your video through search are likely interested in your website. The fact that video is clicked on more than websites should be enough to accept it and utilize it.

Video SEO vs Television ads.


Since television first started, Marketers have always took advantage of television advertising. Television is a great way to gain exposure, generate leads, increase sales and improve brand awareness.
Companies pay millions of dollars for television commercial ad placement. How do they know who is watching and if they are even looking for what they are offering? I guess it's a shot in the dark. We as people naturally do not like change. Change takes adjustments and sometimes compromise. With Video SEO, people typically have a difficult time understanding that it is a more effective advertising medium than Television.
I recently pitched Video SEO to a large national company who really did not get it. I went over it again and again with this gentleman and he could not understand it. This is a fairly new technique and it will take time for everyone to grasp it.
Stop and think about it! Videos now come up in Google's natural results. This means if someone is typing in a keyword that is relative to your video, they are likely interested in your video content. This fact alone should click in people's brains and jump into a Video SEO campaign.
I recently closed a deal with a credit card processor who was interested in generating leads for his company. I had him go to Google and type in a keyword that h would like to rank #1 for. When he typed an industry keyword, he noticed there were no relative videos. Once he saw this it CLICKED! He saw an opportunity to dominate his market through video marketing. He signed the agreement and we start production on his 10 videos next week.
With television it's like throwing a bowl of oatmeal against the wall and hope some of it sticks. Kinda messy huh? It's not cost effective and it's just old fashioned.
Video SEO is a cost effective and in my opinion the most effective way to market your business with maximum results. You're using video to deliver your message and drive traffic to your website. It is the MAGIC BULLET..... It creates web traffic, leads, sales and brand awareness all in one!

Hi. my name is Andy . I have been involved in the development of Video SEO strategies since the Birth of Google's Universal Search. You may have heard some people refer to me as the "Video SEO Guy".
